Creating common ground on which to build understanding… I think.

Hmmm….not how I see it Opal. There is plenty of surroundings to engage in on Gaia – both that uses different coulours and artistic expressions and needs to collect personal information etc etc
And if all is a game, and there can be not death there can be no loosers…. 🙂
Yes, I understand… Many people have to come to grips with the whole control/controlled issue before they can see the game for what it is… well, we all have to come to grips with something like that, while we’re here on this amnesiac journey. It has been interesting to watch some of my awakening family members have the “Oh, my goodness! That certainly can’t be true?” reaction, followed by anger followed by seeing the game. And seeing that they have choices, and not to fear is one of them.
You remember…
opalescentMember… and it’s terrifying to wake up to the realization that you have so little control of your life… what colors are in this year, what movies are on TV, what kind of phone service can you get, how much information do you have to share to get a license, or a job, does your boss like you? et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. It takes balls to break away from caring or engaging in that, but that too is limiting. At least on this planet, while we’re here.
It’s all a game. What do you do when you play a game with someone who’s cheating? What are your options? Do you give in and lose, or do you start twisting the rules to your benefit, or do you start playing a different game altogether? And of course, you can ask, need there be winners and losers? Does the definition of “game” necessarily imply that paradigm, or is it possible that we are conditioned (reference paragraph above) not to see an alternative approach?
Hm.
Oh, and a warm welcome to you, dear moviemaker!
opalescentMemberSigh…
opalescentMemberI’m waiting to see how everyone comes to terms with fear. And I am feeling a need growing for understanding from the many who deny its presence in their lives. A friend of the darkness, however they are acquainted, is much needed in these days of growing denial, to help there be unity. Change is a-coming… heck, it’s here!
opalescentMemberDear quietsound, I am sorry to hear of his passing. You and your family are in my prayers.
opalescentMemberI had to look up “metempsychosis”. Just to be sure, you know? I know I knew that word somewhere down the line, but sometimes I think Nine knows my vocabulary better than I do! I can almost feel etheric fingers flipping through the files in my head…
opalescentMemberSince you’re reading…
A helpful mantra for those who can see god in all but have a hard time seeing god in the mirror is “Om Namah Shivaya”… here are a few words on its activity within:
(lit., Om, salutations to Shiva) The Sanskrit mantra of the Siddha Yoga lineage; known as the great redeeming mantra because of its power to grant both worldly fulfillment and spiritual realization. Om is the primordial sound; Namah is to honor or bow to; Shivaya denotes divine Consciousness, the Lord who dwells in every heart. link
This mantra has no approximate translation. The sounds related directly to the principles which govern each of the first six chakras on the spine…Earth, water, fire, air, ether. Notice that this does not refer to the chakras themselves which have a different set of seed sounds, but rather the principles which govern those chakras in their place. A very rough, non-literal translation could be something like, ‘Om and salutations to that which I am capable of becoming.’ This mantra will start one out on the path of subtle development of spiritual attainments. It is the beginning on the path of Siddha Yoga, or the Yoga of Perfection of the Divine Vehicle. link
Find a location where you can be quiet for a few minutes without interruptions. Sit in a chair with the spine erect with feet on the floor. Or, on the floor, yogi style. Close your eyes and watch your breath coming in and going out. Repeat the mantra, “Om Namah Shivaya” silently to yourself. When the mind wander off, just gently bring it back.
Om Namah Shivaya means I honor the God within me, the great power that resides in all beings. Like the Bible says, the kingdom of God is within.
As you meditate, all kinds of thoughts will arise. Just gently let them all go, put them aside. You can pick them up later when you are done meditating. They will wait. In the meantime, just go back to the mantra. link
I’ve posted videos of the chant on other threads… youtube is not allowing me access at the mo’…
And know that you are loved beyond measure
opalescentMemberThe “ego” has a lot invested in keeping things on an even keel, maintaining the status quo, and “tricking” you into believing it is an all-knowing, wise source of guidance who knows what’s what. But it is merely an agent of fear, an artificial construct of mind that we feed and allow to grow out of balance. The ego is part of our experience on this planet of forgetfulness, but when it’s out of balance, it gets wily, threatening, confused, and generally like an out-of-control adolescent.
opalescentMemberAww, thanks! It’s good to be back!

Regarding saying mantras & being overheard. From what I’ve read I believe even saying/singing them to yourself in your head still works.
Crank up the volume, Richi! With background chanting, your voice will blend in beautifully! You will also be surreptitiously blessing the dorms, ya know… you little renegade you!
My teacher encouraged us to blend our voices together, so no one voice was heard above the others, nor would anyone be a mouse and not hear their own beautiful vibration in the frequency mass that was created. So find some good mantras (lots have already been shared), turn ’em up real loud, and let it fill your being!
BTW, was that feeling God’s Love entering from outside you, or finding it welling up from within that you were meditating on?
Orissa, I haven’t done a Hu chant for a long time, thanks for finding that vid! It gets the love-juice going, the rasa, doesn’t it?
December 3, 2008 at 4:21 pm in reply to: "I am a generational member of a Ruling Bloodline Family." #11195opalescentMemberI have seen glimpses of heaven and hell right here on this rock we call home, however temporarily that may be…
opalescentMemberI am much more a fan of the “new” Alex Collier, as in his 2008 video, than the one before his apparent baptism of fire, which he discusses in aforesaid vid. And I wouldn’t at all be surprised if gravity isn’t found to be a factor of love! The scientists seem still to be scratching their heads on what it is and isn’t… tho I do also appreciate the arguments of thunderbolts.info.
opalescentMemberHello hello All! Back from a very long trek of visiting many family members hither and yon, and I am still stunned at how beautifully everything went… y’all know how hairy family get-togethers can get, hey? I am so happy…
Where to start… Greg, that beard is wizard! 😆 Don’s looked like that until he cut it off a few months ago (‘cept it was more of a silvery tone, not so celtickly ruddy). I must say, your avatar matches the you I have come to know! And between yours and James’ new one (among many many others here), I feel like I’m riding with some old pals again
I love what’s going on with the thread, it’s totally on topic!
Have you noticed a shift in the angle of light? Are you now able to see things slightly differently than you were just a short time gone by? The shadows are coming out, the light is at play, and your planet tilts ever so much as you careen around the sun.
Now, I have tons to catch up on, a Christmas tree to set up (because we cannot bear another day of begging from our son) and another message to type up… meanwhile, rock on, brothers and sisters! I love you all.
