Here’s a report of another fun coincidence, while we’re still on this happy date of 08-08-08.

It turns out that today was supposed to be the unveiling of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the CERN facility near Geneva, Switzerland.

I haven’t heard yet if the opening went off without a hitch – everyone’s so busy wtih the Olympics that you can hardly find anything in the papers any more. Environmental groups may’ve gotten a last-minute injunction postponing the opening. The “1 in 50 million” chance of creating a chain reaction that just may vaporize the whole Universe does seem to worry some people, hehe. As CNN says, “Some fear debut of powerful atom-smasher.” Their objections are described in the article.

I’ve only heard about this today myself, being horrifically busy with these forums and so on. And it reminded me of a similar apprehension people had about the identical American facility, the so-called Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) in Brookhaven, Connecticut – when it opened exactly nine years ago.

This article published on July 18, 1999 in the London Sunday Times began the “scare” – “Big Bang Machine could destroy Earth”. As one can see from the Wiki section on “RHIC fears”, this led to court injunctions being levied and the opening postponed several times, until the necessary commissions could issue their reports. The facility eventually opened several months behind schedule.

The thing is that there must be some kind of a joker around who’s planning the opening dates for those Hadron people – because as I recall the original opening date for the RHIC was to be 9-9-99, until the injunctions postponed it. And now, almost exactly nine years later on 8-8-8 they want to open another Collider. Is there possibly something they’re not telling us about nine-year cycles, which may be an opportune time to try some type of a “launch”?

Our Chief Admin Annu Mela (Mel Metzger) posted the link to the CNN story on her Facebook profile yesterday, and commented there how the LHC looks like a giant Stargate, from the famed 1994 film by that name. The fun coincidence here is that we just got done mentioning “Stargate” here on another thread – because it was made by the same director, Roland Emmerich, who made the movie “10,000 BC” that’s showing in theaters now. Both films deal heavily with the “ancient astronaut theory”.

And sure enough, the Colliders do resemble the set from Stargate! Which makes one wonder where did the Stargate people get the idea for their set from – seeing as it comes from before either the American or the European facility was built.

So, what’s the bottom line? That’s the thing, blast me – I don’t know!! But it’s sure fun to play around with theories, especially when it involves secluded nuclear scientists working at a guarded underground facility, trying to pierce the very fabric of the Universe.

And as far as fun theories go – well then, there is some reason to suspect that these guys may be mucking about with a little bit more than they let on. Namely, they may really be trying to contact those “old gods” from “Stargate”… Seeing as we pretty much agree by now that these “Annunaki Gods” do, in fact, exist (to remind – believing in this is a prerequisite for participating in this forum. )
