Okay, here’s my take on it.
What if God is not some far-away old man that lives in the sky? What if, collectively, the consciousness of each sentient being actually IS God?
Okay, roll with this for a second.
God is a strand of pearls, and each of us is a pearl. Annnnnd….isn’t it said that we exist in the mind of God? But wait, didn’t I just say that all of consiousness is God? Right! I think it’s not that we exist in the universe, but more like the universe exists because we percieve it to exist as such. Yes I DO think that all of the collective consiousness could be that powerful. Because collectively…we are God.
…But wait! If we are God, who made us? Who created us?
Well, bear with me. Okay, can you imagine what it would be like for you to not exist? I don’t mean like ‘what if you died’ or what if you were never born’ but…can you imagine it at ALL? Non-existance? Likely not. Maybe that’s because we have all ALWAYS existed in the spiritual sense. We are ageless, and we have always existed.
It is said by some that we incarnate into physical bodies to learn and experience things. But if we are all facets of God, then this is really just GOD running around down here, experiencing, and learning. Maybe we/God collectively created this illusion of a physical world so that we/God could experience and learn.
It makes sense. That’s why God lets ‘bad things happen to good people.’ Because none of it is ‘real’ anyway. The only ‘real’ is our collective consiousness…and that would mean that the only ‘real’ thing is God.
It’s a theory, anyway.
We are all God. And the universe exists as it does, because we percieve it to exist that way.
It’s completely impossible to prove, but then again, I’d like to see someone try and disprove it. ;-D
