Humanity’s Cry

Deep within the core of my being,
I hear humanity’s cry…
a powerful longing,
for opening, for compassion…for love…
an all consuming desire for community!

And yet, we hold ourselves separate
in fear, hatred, judgment, searching outside…
for the guidance that can only come
from deep within.

I hear humanity’s cry for keener knowing,
of all that is…
for something meaningful to give them
courage, strength, wisdom…
a connection to the Divinity within.

And still we run….faster…..faster….
searching…seeking….crying out….
until a howl, deep within
the heart and belly space…within the soul
knocks us to our knees…

And we cry out….and go in…
to the space of God within our being….
and our cry resounds out into the Universe…
Humanity’s cry….haunting and beautiful….
for the knowing of Home here on earth.
