…I can glean a spiritual message out almost any movie…some are more obvious…some are maybe one line that shines out like a torch…

…last night I watched a movie that took me unawares…it is at the movie store right now and I thought it would just be some light entertainment…
it was …Forgiving the Franklins…the box really gave me no clue…when I watched the trailer it was quoted as being the antithesis of The Passion of Christ…
…set in a christian community in N.Carolina it is about a family and their dealings with the town…three of the four in the family are put into comas after a car accident and come out of it *changed*…interesting watch…

…I am a SG1 fan and was bummed when it ended last season…anyway…

…I was watching an episode where they were fooling with a device that was found near the alledged Camalot and was left by Merdin (Merlin)…Samantha and Daniel were slipped into a different density and the episode was about them trying to communicate with the rest of the team…as I was watching I thought…this must be exactly what it is like for those that are trying to channel through us…”come on ! come on! you almost have it ! oh well,keep trying” …

Hey will , how are you ? Have you ever seen the movie labrynth with David Bowie ? I know I’m going waay back on that (mid 80’s) I’d be curious to hear your take on that one , I like when people look beneath the surface , as thats where you find the truths ! Peace -Mark

We’ve recently discovered a cache of old Star Trek shows at the cbs website http://www.cbs.com/classics/star_trek/
It’s great to watch them again (except for the annoying commercials! 👿 )
Our 4-year-old is turning into a trekkie already 😕

We “happen” to watch the exact episode that fits in just right with the realizations we’re having for the day (or hour)… and there’s the original Twilight Zone there, too!

Pi , The Matrix , Hero (Jet Li) , Star Wars , Lord of the Rings , Crouching Tiger…., yes ,I agree Will , even the cartoon Avatar (which I LOVE and am sad to see end after only 3 seasons , and I will also miss SG-1) 😥 , a HUGE amount of messages and “veil-busters” seem to come to us from the higher densities , and it seems that you can find these messages from OurHigherSelves are everywhere! I am grateful for the help they provide!

Oh yeah, The Matrix, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings .. some of my all-time favourites!!

Lord of the Rings.. I love this.. Althought right now it is a little too dark and depressing for me to watch (this everlasting depression and desperation.. it makes me mad), there’s still SO much I can get out of it.

I know what you mean Will, there is so much seemingly “random” stuff you can get SO much out of, although right now I can’t find an example. xD

OH it just hit me: 5th Element. Ohhhhhhhhhh this is such an AWEEESOME movie, it really is about Good vs Bad, Bad that’s gonna destroy everything, Good people that have to do their very best and in the end it turns out to be enough, and, oh my, the most important message that is so absent today: What created the universe was fire, earth, water, air and LOVE!!!!!! Oh my!!!! I really think Luc Besson has some link to somewhere, even if he’s not consciously aware of it. That movie has SO much. I really have to say, this is almost my all-time favourite movie. It’s just awesome, awesome, awesome.

Back in the days when I used to smoke some green stuff, along with my brother, we were watching this movie and our heads were going totally crazy, we interpreted SO much into this movie, we even began to think about .. well I don’t remember it exactly, but what happens in the Bible with Good vs Evil compared to what happens in the movie. Some crazy stuff. xD

Will, what do you mean with symbology in Monsters Inc? I’m not really into symbology, I don’t pay attention to it, so could you please explain what you mean here?

…well…one character is a big eyeball…that would be the all-seeing eye…they have lizards and all sorts that can be cross-defined…

…all these monsters live in monstertown…they go to work at the powerfactory …doorways hanging from a conveyor are portals to little kids bedrooms…the job is to scare the kids…bottle up a sream in a jar …and get back without being touched…which leads to a decontamination shower…these screams are what powers up monstertown…so we have an off-dimension group that is useing fear as a commodotie…sound familiar ?…
…wel the two main characters look more like big teddy bears and a little girl just Loves them…typical Indigo…fearless…she inadvertantly follows them back to monstertwon and all heaven breaks loose !…resulting in a reconstruction of the whole system…

…2012 in a nutshell…

I think it’s mainly because I have only seen this movie once or twice, two or three years ago.. I TOTALLY didn’t see those things. But you really opened my eyes!!!!
Hahaha I never thought about such things. xD Oh my I feel totally strange right now!! 😆

I assumed this movie would hold negative messages in it, but oh my, it’s priceless! xD

Are there some more “simple cartoons” or kids’ movies you know about that are as awesome? xD

Well, the big ones (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Matrix) have already been mentioned, but I’ll mention lesser known ones that have been extraordinarily transformational for me:

1) Sunshine: to me this is the most profound portrait of our relationship with the universe. It’s hard to summarize, but I did write a whole essay about it! Ultimately, this movie gave me the courage to finally move to the place most sacred to me on Earth and to go back to college (for a second degree).
2) K-Pax: this is an amazing depiction of a Walk-In! If you haven’t seen it already, do so now!! I actually use this movie to educate my family about what I am (although I’m not a Walk-In, but a Crawl-In). Back when I first saw it, it inspired me to come out of isolation and join spiritual forums.
3) Silent Hill: I consider this the scariest movie I’ve ever seen, because it mirrors my view of reality very well. That a person’s suffering can become so great that they implode the space around them into a pocket reality and trap those nearby. It’s a tale of overlapping realities and the things that can bleed through.
4) The Butterfly Effect: an interesting (and disturbing :D) journey through reality creation and parallel universes.
5) Hotel Rwanda: never cried this much during a movie. Amazing what can go on in the world without the West knowing or caring about it.

A great movie I saw recently is The 11th Hour. It’s basically a global warming documentary, but what’s refreshing about it to me is to hear so many people expressing exactly how I feel about how so many problems in the world are caused by humanity’s isolation from nature and mistaking artificial systems like the economy for reality. Also the documentary Tibet: Cry of the Snow Lion. If you don’t know what all the fuss is about with Tibet, please watch this. Shocking how one of the most harmonious cultures on Earth can be going through such pain and the modern world doesn’t help.

As for TV shows, I think Outer Limits and X-Files are pretty thought-provoking.
