This is a meditation I’ve developed that has proved very effective for me so I thought I’d share. It takes a bit to describe, but can take less than 5 minutes to do. It’s designed to balance your chakra and channel energy.
Take a few deep breaths to relax, then focus on your base chakra.
In-breath: Imagine it spinning faster and faster until it glows bright red.
Out-breath: See any “dirt” it has accumulated ejecting into your aura. I usually see the “dirt” as smoke.
(In-breath)
Out-breath: extend a “red root” from the base chakra into the earth.
(In-breath)
Out-breath: extend an “orange root” from the base chakra into the earth.
(In-breath)
Out-breath: extend a “yellow root” from the base chakra into the earth.
(In-breath)
Out-breath: extend a “green root” from the base chakra into the earth.
(In-breath)
Out-breath: extend a “blue root” from the base chakra into the earth.
(In-breath)
Out-breath: extend an “indigo root” from the base chakra into the earth.
(In-breath)
Out-breath: extend a “violet root” from the base chakra into the earth.In-breath: Extend a trunk of light from your base chakra to your sacral chakra and see it spinning faster and faster until it shines bright orange.
Out-breath: See any dirt it has accumulated ejecting into your aura.In-breath: Further extend the trunk of light from your sacral chakra to your solar plexus chakra and see it spinning faster and faster until it shines bright yellow.
Out-breath: See any dirt it has accumulated ejecting into your aura.In-breath: Further extend the trunk of light from your solar plexus chakra to your heart chakra and see it spinning faster and faster until it shines bright green.
Out-breath: See any dirt it has accumulated ejecting into your aura.In-breath: Further extend the trunk of light from your heart chakra to your throat chakra and see it spinning faster and faster until it shines bright blue.
Out-breath: See any dirt it has accumulated ejecting into your aura.In-breath: Further extend the trunk of light from your throat chakra to your third eye chakra and see it spinning faster and faster until it shines bright indigo.
Out-breath: See any dirt it has accumulated ejecting into your aura.In-breath: Further extend the trunk of light from your third eye chakra to your crown chakra and see it spinning faster and faster until it shines bright violet.
Out-breath: See any dirt it has accumulated ejecting into your aura.In-breath: Imagine tree branches sprouting from your crown chakra. This could be any tree, although I usually circulate between oak, willow, and apple depending on what I need at the time (strength, intuition, abundance respectively).
Out-breath: See/feel the sun or, better yet, the central sun shining overhead.
In-breath: Use an energy cyclone to gather all the dirt in your aura and bring it up over the branches.
Out-breath: Let the rays of the sun purify the dirt and return it to the branches. See the reclaimed energy manifest in the branches as flowers.
Repeat the previous two lines until all the dirt has been recycled.In-breath: Pull in light from the sun and feel the branches grow bigger. Draw the light into your heart center through the tree’s trunk and spin it there, then…
Out-breath: Push the light down the trunk and out through the roots into the earth. Feel the roots grow and dig deeper into the earth.
In-breath: Pull in light from the sun and feel the branches grow even bigger! Draw the light into your heart center through the tree’s trunk and spin it there, then…
Out-breath: Push the light down the trunk and out through the roots into the earth. Feel the roots grow and dig even deeper into the earth!
Repeat this until your roots spread through the globe of the earth and penetrate into its core. Pull in more and more light and see the core vibrate faster and faster until it can sustain this without your help. The End.
Now, as you spin each chakra, it is helpful to either emotionally or visually feel the qualities of that chakra, or repeat some chakra-related affirmation. You can also reverse the direction of the energy channeled in the last part. Instead of channeling from sun to earth, you can channel from earth to sun (draw in energy through the roots, release through the branches). This creates an energy beacon. Or, you can pull energy from earth and sun simultaneously and let the heart chakra circulate it throughout your own body. The central sun is a generic, all-purpose energy source, but you can connect with anything, and especially with any star. Want to channel energy from Sirius? Knock yourself out!
I try to do this daily, especially before meditation, to center myself.

…when you say spinning …is it spinning clockwise or counter ( looking from top down )…or does it not matter ?…October 18, 2008 at 5:09 pm #10464UFOBelieveMemberOh my sounds very interesting indeed!!
I will need to learn it before I try it. xD But I will post my experiences with this as soon as I did it! =)October 18, 2008 at 7:50 pm #10465Neiru2012MemberI spin the chakras clockwise when looking from overhead. But when drawing light into the heart center, I spin that light clockwise from the side, so that it can shoot down on the outspin.
