To laugh is to risk ridicule

To stand up before the crowd is to risk humiliation

To fight for what you believe in is to risk failure

To love is to risk not being loved in return

But…

He who fears ridicule will never know what its like to be laughed with

He who fears humiliation will never know acceptance

He who fears failure will never know triumph

He who fears rejection will never know the warmth, joy & passion of being loved in return

Taking risks is what makes us human, it is inbred in us and to fear taking risks is to reject our humanity. Fear is a part of being mortal, but overcoming that fear is what makes us human
