I can see that 😆 No pun intended! That is why it’s important to have clarity and trust your body to give you signals that you’re tuned to the right frequency. I used to have “pirates” break in from time to time when I was learning the basics of higher communication. Most of the time it was allowed, I felt, by my teachers and guides… here, kid, wrestle with this and learn (the rest of the time it was my own ego disguised as a shadowy demon, and I had to wrestle with that, too). It’s a respectable way to learn, I think… not so much that there’s harm but it does build strength of discernment and humor 😮
Kind of like letting your kid learn through experience, not so much that they get hurt but that they gain understanding for themselves rather than being told what’s what. How can you tell what the truth is if you’re only told what it is? It must be experienced to be understood, no matter if you’re learning how to build a tower with blocks or learning how to be a clear channel.
There are real pirates in the astral prowling for people who want to channel but who haven’t done the groundwork of recognizing ego-fear, clearing emotional and mental and physical debris from their being, or who don’t know what they’re doing. The protocols for, as you say Will, “eliminating psychic contamination” are so important. Healing and the intent for purity, I find, are vital. As is a good sense of humor… 😉
