MemberI am one of the older members at 72 but am honored to have been invited to join this forum.
Although I can pick out a number of paranormal experiences as I look back on my life, I only started learning about my “real self” since I learned to meditate about 12 years ago. The filter of my brain formed by my life experiences causes me to look at these experiences somewhat differently from most of you. I believe that my consciousness extends beyond my body giving my subconscious access to a “universal consciousness”. I believe that this universal consciousness as viewed by my subconscious is the source of any guides, visions or other paranormal events that I experience.
Although I am out of phase with most of you, I believe it is simply a different way of looking at the whole mind, body, soul life and I certainly don’t reject anything you experience; your experiences, in fact, add greatly to my perception of what is real. I probably won’t post much but will visit this great site on most days with a longing to learn from each of you.
Respectfully,
Poppy (Sam)

MemberWelcome Poppy, now don’t be shy and get posting lol, at 72 you must have some awesome insight into life on earth that will help us all here. We are all the same inside these bodies, regardless of age, all end up eventually trying to work out for our unique self within this paradox known as life of the human being.
I believe while on earth truth is a very personal thing to each of us because we are unique and have a mind of our own in which life is experienced, it’s only by looking inside our mind do our personal beliefs start streching beyond this physical reality known since birth, the world of our senses.
You meditate so you know what it means about becoming conscious of our own unique consciousness when its not so strongly attached to this physical plain of our bodily senses and gets an insight into the universal consciousness and the eternal now moment.
Share with us Poppy….Den

Really nice to see you here. I think it is so that we ALL have a unique way of experiencing the divine. I have always appreciated your insights and your take on things. I am glad you are here on BoL and hope you’ll continue to share – even if you find your way different from others that are shared.

MemberGreetings Poppy 🙂
I am so glad that you found this website and that you can share your words of wisdom with us all. We have a lot to learn from someone your years of young (72) …Let me share something with you.
I am a 47 year old female who only has true friends that are from 60 and above. My very dearest and best friend is 74 and I myself tend to relate better to people who are much older than I. I have learned so much through Celine. She is a tough old broad and I mean this in the most sincerest and loving way. She has taught me to look at things in a new perspection due to her age and knowledge and wisdom.
So I feel you should chime in whenever spirit moves you and to remember that truly age means absolutely nothing here or at least with me. I myself tend to learn from someone mature.
Hugs,
Terry 😀 -
