My lady love and I just came back from a short break where we stayed in a little tree-house/ tent in the middle of some amazing forestland. I had time to sit and think. Time to engage with Life. Time to wax poetical. I left this in the “visitors book”. I just wanted to share it here too:
I asked the forest “who are you?”. I asked, “where do you start and where do you end and what is your nature?” for I did not know. Forest smiled at me with clear blue sky, carressed my cheek with gentle breezes and laughed in many-bird voice.
“Understand me with your heart,” she whispered, “not your mind.”
So I opened my heart to her and then I knew! Forest is the interaction… the alchemy… the Love that exists between all her parts. Forest is the perfect harmony and the love. She is the sun and the rain, the wind and the water, the blue skies and grey. Forest is the birds and the trees, the animals and the insects. Forest is all these things and the love that is between them.
Forest touched my heart, showed me my belonging and now… I am a part of Forest too.
My lady-love and I are making our plans to move out there. We want to find a way to feed our bodies with what we grow from the land and feed our souls on the forest itself. And feed the forest with the most loving and careful stewardship in return. We plan to make our living from our creative offerings. We have been working on “settling up” our lives in the city for a while now. Soon we shall be living our new dream. Either we’ll buy a piece of forest outright or we’ll do it as a joint-venture with other like minded souls. We open ourselves to higher direction for the best path forward. Soon now I will be “home” again.
