Yep, they are. They are finding ways around everything. I had one this evening (12/6/11, around 7pm PST) who managed to register/post using an already banned IP; terby906 is this one’s user nick. I don’t know how they are doing this stuff, but I guess I don’t need to know. 😉 109.230.245.219 is the main IP being used.

I just looked, too, there are over 12 pages of bans in the last 7 days. That is an astounding amount of crap…… 😯

I wasn’t sure about this one at all. After editing out the link to their blog, I approved it.

I found that if I went into the forum that these posts were in, and deleted them from there, that they disappeared from the mod que as well. The system must have been interrupted with half the job done before, so I just had to manually finish it. 😆 😳 😉

This is fishy, this “DancingKim” has an IP from China. First post, asks about an animation studio in the UK, then later, comes on & asks about the same thing in Australia, with the excuse that “I’m going to be here for 2 months”.

This looks like a web translation of a language other than English. Those web translators never get the syntax right. 😆 It’s probably a copy/paste made to many websites, with the original reply made to a post containing something about CNA nurses.

Sometimes, all these spammers want is to drive up pageviews on a site, in order to convince the site owner that they can accelarate traffic.

I always like having “evidence” of why I ban someone. That way, if someone (the spammer) complains, I have the post to refer to. 😀 😆

This person hit every topic with 2-3 of these same posts. The links don’t even go anywhere. I have a feeling that someone was angry about something (or someone).

Mel, I just want you to know that I really appreciate what you do here. Whether I post something about it or not, I’ve been here when possible, keeping watch for troublemakers when they show up. I still don’t understand why some people want to destroy something that someone else has worked so hard to build, like this site. It’s not just another site, but an extension of your love & caring for the world. Something that beautiful shouldn’t be torn apart, rather admired & nurtured. Big hugs to you, Mel, at this point in our lives. We all could use one as often as possible.
