That is pretty unrelated, but I wouldn’t worry about it… The earth changes, it’s a natural thing. Hopefully, if it were to erupt, people would know to leave the area, stay safe.
echoMemberCool video! 😀
I always thought oneness was your connection with the source and your individuality was how attached or how close your were to/with the source.
echoMemberThanks Zingdad, I agree with most of what you said, about ascension, people who sit in a seat of power, and how we choose to direct ourselves.
I’d say it’s hard to focus on one specific thing because of the amount of things that happen every day. I can only assume there are people that are making plans and are carelessly deciding the fate of thousands, behind locked doors… The truth is, this isn’t a secret. It happens everyday, maybe on a much smaller scale. Corporate board meetings, teacher conferences, activist groups, I don’t know… People are, and have been, directing people and showing them how to live, it’s basically how “we” maintain the system. But it’s when we travel up the scale to where the decisions have the possibility to disrupt and cause a massive ripple effect is when people should be wary. When it gets to the point where figures we can’t see make these choices, the average person could be in danger, and this causes a lot of paranoia.
Control is not as spiritual as I thought it might have been. It’s actually sort of childish. If we run down the scale again, it’s like a bully and a kid on the playground. There are a limited amount of outcomes to a situation like this, but an infinite amount of approaches… I’m used to hearing the story of how the bully extorts the kid for his lunch money. The bigger kid usually flashes his muscle or travels with his gang to express his concept of power. Understandably the weaker child tends to bend to the will of the bully, or gets beat the fuck up. From this moment on the bully will probably return to its victim and repeat the same situation because of its rate of success. But in reality we grow and we don’t stay kids on a playground, we become educated. Assuming the bully doesn’t pick on smaller kids because of a short temper and learning disabilities, let’s say he majors in business, graduates, eventually starts a business, etc. This person could be dangerous and an unstable leader because of selfish thought processing, but we are told to respect these people because they made it in the big world.
The higher up the scale people climb, the easier it is to become invisible. And that’s the idea, the more (money/respect/fame) you’ve got, the easier it is to hide the skeletons in the closet. At this point it becomes a game of distraction. The longer you can keep people distracted the easier it is to reach for more in the fiscal, material sense. But we all know, or at least I’ve come to realize, that chasing these fickle ideas is a pointless attempt to bring fulfillment into your life. That’s why I don’t fear those people. The reality is: things are ever changing. Like a building built on a fault line, it’s susceptible to destruction when the earth moves.
My real concern is, who is planning to pick up the pieces when it all falls down (not who is willing to change, but who is setting up the domino’s). The one situation people often overlook with the bully example is to outwit the thug. To escape harm and refuse to bend down low is the idea. Sometimes the result doesn’t turn out exactly as planned, but the message is most important. Your fear based mind games and your concept of control is just and illusion and is a final attempt to distract you from the reality of the situation. People can’t hide from the truth… forever.
echoMemberso is truth an idea? Not what is physically or literally there but the significance and the meaning that is given to what is being perceived? It’s difficult (for me) because language is a barrier, it both supports and prevents truth (or what is being perceived as truth).
there comes a point at which reliance on the physical senses must give way to the more reliable apparatus of the heart
this idea is a feeling that can be sensed but hard to share through self expression? Is that why we have poets, painters, musicians… politicians? A way to express truth or the idea, yet portray it in a personal way (through that lens). But the problem is most of the idea get’s lost in translation. Not everyone will understand the picture because it’s so personal or… intentionally misleading.
echoMemberHappy New Year!
Let’s all act young tonight so we can pretend to be old tomorrow. 😎echoMemberIt is wrong to worship nature. Although nature is pervaded by God in a limited sense, it is also a manifestation of the imperfect results of the universe experiment of cosmic evolution. Apparent defects in the natural world do not indicate corresponding defects in the character of God.
That’s a strange thing to say. I always though of nature as god… If a human can see god in another human and can see beauty in that, but dismisses the beauty of nature, than they have missed the point. God is imperfection and imperfection is perfection. w.out the ability to evolve life would cease to exist. The writer goes on to say how refusing to acknowledge God’s existence is to cease to exist. I see a conflict in reasoning. w.out nature (plants, animals, bacteria, etc.) we couldn’t sustain life. If anything, humans should be praising the earth and it’s nature to evolve and continuously support life. If you’re talking about a limiting way of thinking believe that god is a human. Because when you do that you lack the basic needs to evolve.
Apparent defects in the natural world do not indicate corresponding defects in the character of God.
No they don’t. But humans are not perfect. They need defects in the natural world to support their growing (or evolving) consciousness. And when we say consciousness we mean the connection to the oneness of the earth, of nature itself. By tapping into the idea of “oneness” people can release their preconceived ideas of everyday life. The things that don’t really matter to the earth (like social, monetary, and political systems, why you go to work everyday or what to get someone for their birthday). But when they focus on reality and connect it to the idea that things are natural and are constantly shifting, then a connection is made.
But when people forget that mistakes or defects are caused intentionally they forget that things are shifting and they need to adapt. It’s basically saying that spiritually a human would be unable to adapt to the idea of “God” if they said he was only present in living things, let alone one human being. Not only is it limiting to refer to one self as god, but when other people refer to a living being as this idea it can also be very limiting. Why? because god is on the level of oneness. If someone is god or referred to as god, than that would mean nothing else could be a part of the equation. What god means to me is much different than the meaning most people have built around the word. To me, god is an attraction, pure positive energy that can flow through your body, your mind being the magnet. Your mind can attract any kind of energy if it has this connection to nature, be it positive or negative. But the idea of god is to connect all “souls” onto one frequency so ‘God’ can be felt at anytime. To be attracted to either side of the spectrum, either positive or negative.
echoMemberI saw the moon last night when it looked bright orange. It was very low to the horizon, but when I noticed it I couldn’t look away. Later in the night it rose in the sky and lost it’s orange hue. It was pleasing to see. Thanks for the heads up.
echoMemberHahaha. Thanks sorcha. I knew when I saw these videos someone would be interested in watching them. If you want search the name “Ramachandran.” He’s the man in the last three vids. I haven’t watched all of his stuff on youtube, nor have I looked him up anywhere else on the net, but I’m sure he has a whole library of ideas you could look through. Thanks for the direction 😀 I will definitely look into what you’ve shared and will share anything new that I find. Happy exploring.
echoMemberthats got to be a sticky situation. It’s hard to work towards changing a system that you’ve invested so much in. Who would want to take the time to change what is working now? Though there may be a better solution, doesn’t necessarily mean people are willing to look for it. The other thing, it’s pretty lame to dismiss someone’s thoughts on a situation on the basis of how they present it. Sure someone might ride that tidal wave in search for power, but that doesn’t mean people have to give him that power. I don’t know I think people should put their own bs to the side and start looking for some common ground, but hey! What do I know? I’m an American. I don’t know the first thing about Europe and it’s people.
December 11, 2008 at 6:05 pm in reply to: Discovered: Cosmic Rays from a Mysterious, Nearby Object #11325echoMemberWhat the man in this presentation was talking about reminded me a lot of the film Spirited Away by Mayao Miyazaki. The part about dealing with your “shadow self” the part that you let slide and you aren’t normally aware of reminds me so much of a character in this movie. I’m not sure how you feel about anime or cartoons, but this is an animated movie. Don’t let that be the deciding factor. It’s full of meaning and the illustration is incredibly well done to boot.
For those who haven’t seen the movie, the character I’m talking about is a spirit who is aimlessly wandering around until the main character let’s him in. I can’t explain it appropriately, so you would have to watch it yourself to see what I mean. If you are inclined to watch it, just keep in mind this idea.

echoMemberI liked your story, it was full of fluid language and was fun to read. you should be an author 😆 sounds like quite the experience. welcome
echoMemberOk, I’m glad you’ve decided not to fight. I’m putting down my sword, or stick, or how ever you see it. But its not right to put up your shiny shield of light, meaning, and symbols that I don’t understand either. If you want to understand how I think and feel, and what point I’m trying to make, open up your mind, instead of blocking it. All you have to do is ask why. Ask why to everything I say. Then answer it yourself. Then ask yourself why, to everything you think. Then answer it yourself. Then you will know a little bit more about how I think. Be mindful of negatively charged words like can’t and no: these are suspending thoughts, they stop the flow of your thinking. I only want you to understand where I’m coming from, not for you to draw your sword and shield. So instead of poo-pooing what I write, take the time to think it through. This is not a dual, this is supposed to be a meeting of the minds. A blending of ideas, not the obstruction of opinions. And if any of this doesn’t make sense or sits bad in your gut then tell me. What I really want from you is some positive feedback, not emotional support. Don’t get them confused, and don’t take what I say and try to use it against me as if it made me vulnerable.
I’m sorry for picking a fight, but I’m only throwing back what landed at my feet. I try to give to people what I receive, because people tend to look for change in others, when in reality they are looking for change in themselves. Respect is the golden rule… I’m made of rubber, yours is glue. Whatever you say to me gets stuck to you… Childish, but true. Whatever respect you have for people will eventually find its way back on you (because you create reality… for yourself). Truth is each thought you have is accompanied with an emotion that only you feel. The question is: what kind of feeling are you trying to feel? You can even ask: what emotion am I addicted to? They say that emotions are chemicals that are chained together in the brain, so it’s fair to say that the brain can become attached to certain chemicals that the brain produces. This is why I pick fights. I like to feel anger because its such an explosive emotion!
My thoughts are yours to read, not to take. My words are building blocks for thought, that I’m hoping you will use to build your castle. They are unconditional and full of emotion. I’m sure you don’t see it the same way I do, Annan, but we are still children at heart and in our minds, because there is a part of us that wanted to remain innocent.
