Barbara Brennan’s work on understanding — and healing through interacting with — the human energy field is probably one of the best basic sources of information that I’ve found. Here’s some intro material. If you really want to understand it, I highly recommend reading her book “Hands of Light”.
Esoteric, occult and yogic teachings refer to a “subtle body”, or a series of subtle bodies, behind the physical body. This subtle body is said to consist of elements or organs such as centres or chakras, nadis or channels, “drops”, and even deities and cosmic correspondences.
I can tell you that there are differences in the feel between the layers of the energy field, which you can sense if you develop your ability to, and anyone can do that. When I did healing work, I could feel a definite boundary between the layers (which are, from the physical body, layered like an onion: emotional, mental, spiritual, astral, and Barbara Marciniak’s P’s have detailed chakras that exist above/outside of the physical body, some a few inches, some at cosmic “distances” from us here on Earth). I can’t usually see them, though. But my cat can 😉
I have occasionally, when very relaxed, seen my own around my fingers, and I could literally see the energy when I tossed it back and forth. It was a turquoise color.Welcome!
Savonn, I also went through a “dark” period 8-ish years ago, whoo boy. And I was deep into becoming a massage therapist and energy healer at the time. Metaphysics, healing touch, holistic therapy. It was an amazingly alive, powerful time, though “dark” in that I was really turned inward and dealing with all the shadow stuff. I don’t think that’s something you just dip into and be done with, but it becomes part of your experience and thus part of your power as a healer, which makes for really powerful healing.
And yes! Crystals definitely have messages! My first experience was with an unusual Tibetan/Lemurian quartz double-terminated that “just so happened” to have a face naturally shaped as a channeler (which is a combination of 7-sided and 3-sided faces, look at Melody’s book Love Is In The Earth for a motherlode of info). The most pronounced communication has come through a chunk of apophyllite, which had Egyptian teachings pouring out of it. But I digress, and there is a crystals thread hiding in these boards somewhere…

I’m so glad you mention the video. It usually takes me as much (if not more) time to find the right video to fit with the message. I know I got the right one, most times, because I’ll cry while I’m watching it. Sort of like dowsing 😆
Will, the significance of the card, to me, is the number nine, as that’s the source I channel. And spades are nice for digging, which is what my writing is all about. It’s just such a cool number in so many ways. I thought it was a nice touch for this finale.
