Hooray for January Birthdays!
echoMemberWhatever, I just think that this man is trying to make a point. What specific point is either blatantly obvious (he isn’t an obama supporter) or he’s using satire to make people think (which when I stop to think, it may be giving him far too much credit). What I mean by that is, having clips of the new president accompanied with ominous music and controversial subjects can do harm to one’s reputation. But it’s clear to me that Alex Jones has no intention in curbing his persuasive optimism about our new president. Is the idea to stir up the public so we ask questions and become more involved in politics or are we just supposed to watch this trailer, believe what we hear, hope obama fails, and try again? Isn’t this the paranoid, fear dwelling, propaganda that we’re now trying to avoid? It worked with Bush, after a while people began to really dislike the guy (regardless of how intelligent the man may have been or what things he had accomplished). Don’t let the man define the purpose, but his ambition determine its meaning, or at least that would be fair, setting all opinions aside, making room for change to occur. This trailer leaves me feeling distrust towards Obama and I see no good in that.
How much has the “presidential position” become a show. I hate to draw this connection, but voting for the president sounds too much like American Idol. I can’t speak for the population, but how many people see the world through a box (the T.V. or a monitor)? People just want a man to look important, say inspiring things, and point his finger. I can’t say how I feel about Barak Obama as president of the US, seeing how he’s only been president for a few weeks, I’m waiting to see what kind of change he brings and hopefully he delivers… But one thing I feel compelled to say, or ask even, how many Americans notice Obama’s face everywhere? I understand he’s the first pres with dark skin and he was just recently inaugurated, but why is it fashionable? I see him on the cover of People magazine when standing in line at the grocery store or on Entertainment Tonight. What?! Confusing to me… What power does the president really have? He has the power of “direction” He has the country’s undivided attention. Wherever he points the cameras will most likely follow (unless the people who paid for the cameras don’t want you to see of course). My warning is simply please play along (it sounds strange to say that), just don’t be afraid to stand up for your rights. I also hope that when he points left some of us choose to look right. I just want us to stay healthy, work hard and receive the change we’ve ordered, the change we said we needed. We need to point the finger at the people that need to be noticed (who that is depends on what is important to you). At the moment, that is Obama’s job, and our job is to agree or disagree (by shifting focus on what needs attention). But I don’t need to know about his mother or what his favorite color is…
P.S. – I think people should meditate on who really needs the attention.. for most internet owls, I think scandal and deception is sought after unnecessarily. For those who would like to know more about the illuminati or the masons or w/e, that’s interesting and all, but right now I wouldn’t worry about them. Take the opportunity to focus your time, energy, and thought on people who could use clean water or shoes, for a change, instead of satisfying your need for controversy.
The way I see it, you can either seek knowledge or live for today. We have the means to help where help is needed.
echoMemberhappy birthday!
echoMemberdo auras interact?
echoMemberyeah I am familiar with that martial art. The name of it anyway, I wish I could practice it 🙂 I really respect that kind of mentality. Guns are a permanent solution to a temporary problem, but not everyone can defend themselves like a martial artist master…
echoMemberIt’s like Zeitgeist! The problem is; how are the people going to gradually escape from such a way of life and avoid bondage? Though there are apparent flaws in the system, the country and time we are living in now, is pleasant. There are some changes that I would like to make that revolves around the monetary system, but the real issue in our lives are the people that live distracted, unfulfilled lives. They are the people who buy into blind faith, fiscal desires, or allow themselves to submit their creativity to the television. When the majority of the populace doesn’t care about the reality of others is when you know society is falling apart. Money is only a root of the problem. But it’s hard to talk about, because at the same time a lot of people are so caught up in their own problems, they could care less about someone else who could really use some help… I’m guilty of this.
echoMemberThis reminds me of the Martial arts… If you are trained to defend yourself you are also trained to understand that; to use what you know, to defend yourself, is to go against your beliefs of peace and justice in order to preserve what you live for. If you are a black belt than your hands are registered weapons. To fight is to draw a very bold line. You either fight to defend yourself, or to express superiority. How do you fight?

…it looks like it’s time for a Universal upgrade…
The Universal upgrade is within our consciousness and our willingness to accept the responsibility of the manifestation of reality.
Am I close?
Is this what you mean and is this the point of the mass-meditation?
The idea behind mass meditation is to focus on the similar or same idea in an attempt to increase or amplify the potency or importance of the message. The belief is that we radiate our intention (or our positive/negative energy into the universe). If we continue to express our positivity in a progressive way, than we are doing the universe a positive change. Read “The Secret” or a similar book for an introduction to the “laws of the universe”. Some of it is true, some of it is purely “superstition” or “opinion”.

about 8 yrs ago I had a really dark experience in my life
Sometimes when you lose it’s easier to see where you went wrong and recover strength where you’re weakest. I hope you find the consolation you are looking for and I trust that you will find it in your day to day life.
echoMemberagain, thanks for the direction. I’m assured it will all work out for the best. I know now that my journal will be my strongest tool, best friend, and among other things, my worst enemy…
echoMemberhello.welcome. there are a lot of creative subjects on this board. I’m sure whichever thread you choose, you will find an original idea and will inspire thought. I hope you find what you are looking for to master your story. good luck and happy seeking.
echoMemberWhat if all of life’s answers came to you in the form of a beggar? The idea is that the average person caught up in life’s big problems is to distracted, or too preoccupied to comfort a person in need that they miss the whole idea of progress. Ignoring the circumstances each person has and understanding that each individual is no different than an other is a good way to find common ground and learn from one another. Usually in our lives we subconsciously attract unwanted situations in our lives in order to make a change that we consciously avoid. So in this particular situation we avoid an unwanted individual because of his particular circumstance. The idea is for both people to put their differences aside and help each other (in ways I’m assuming only pertain to those individuals in that particular moment). But the whole purpose of the moment is lost when the opportunity is ignored when the two people (both or either of the two) don’t relate.
Now let’s take this type of thinking and compare it to a more familiar situation. Why not try to share with a person who is afraid how to calm themselves down. It’s fairly parallel with the previous circumstance. A wealthy person is to worried about sharing his “wealth” with a person that has very little to survive on, because he doesn’t wish to be poor. Just like a confidant person isn’t willing to comfort a frightened person because of the desire to maintain their mind frame. Another example is a person who is socially awkward. Why would a person with friends stick their neck out to comfort a stranger and risk being associated with an undesirable person? The problem is people are so much more willing to express their dislikes than sacrifice their comfort to focus on what is important to them (or so they claim to be important).
I’m guilty of this. I’ll admit that pretending that you don’t have an opinion on something whether it be a controversial subject or everyday conversation is easier than explaining exactly what it is you want to say. The issue is: who wants to take the time and listen to what is actually being said, by an undesirable person? Who will hear what a beggar has to say, forgetting about the life the life the speaker has lived? Sure the words spoken might not have any credit whatsoever… but the point is to take the time to listen because that fear or judgment you pass onto another is really something you reward yourself. Anyway this is purely a what if situation and a caution not to ignore the words of another because of it being bad news…
echoMemberI’m not dismissing your ideas jam, but i don’t think it would be fair to call oneself god. that would be the same thing as vanity. you can love yourself, but shouldn’t be in love with yourself. but if you want to talk about that, i think “god” can only exist and be felt between two people. when someone with a connection shares openly with another person through communication, god is experienced.
haha! it’s like electricity! or at least thats what i believe (there’s an idea buried somewhere in there)
January 5, 2009 at 5:42 pm in reply to: Disclosure begins! Canadian Ex-Defence Minister speaks #11757echoMemberwhat if it were true? that the US government had the technology to build flyable, highly advanced, aircraft? Would people believe that it was human ingenuity that designed it or would they be convinced that the information came from extraterrestrials? Also if this was the case and the government chose to fake an alien invasion (sort of like the whole “the day the earth stood still.” not the new movie, but the old school one, the radio show), how many people would become paranoid and close minded?
Also this is unrelated to this thread, but what is more important to you? Contact with another civilization or the well-being of your planet?
echoMemberwell the idea is to focus on the “at best” situation. I don’t know a thing about Yellowstone… I’m just hoping that if there was to be a natural disaster of such a magnitude that you suggest, the animals in the area would leave. Of course it would cost the trees, plants, and animals their lives, but how many times has a natural disaster caused life to end on this planet only to make room for new life to grow? If you’re worried about the life you have and the well being of the living now, I suggest you try to talk down this eruption (if you understand what I mean).
This might be unrelated, but to me, it might have something to do with this situation. Have any of you seen the movie “Untraceable”? If not, it’s about a website that allows people to watch someone be tortured to death. The idea behind it is, if people stop watching the person will be spared, but if the viewer count increases the rate in which the victim is tortured increases. I never finished watching the movie, but the parts that I did watch are pretty gruesome. The worst part was that the amount of people that were watching this website was staggering. I know it was just a movie, but it sounds pretty realistic. The way people gravitate around horror movies, war, and death, it’s like we are asking for a reality of horror death and war. A careful what you wish for case?
